About The Customer Authority

Welcome to The Customer Authority – a Blog created for businesses who want to achieve success through customer service excellence.

My name is Michelle Alvarez and I’m a full-time freelance copywriter with over fifteen years in the customer service industry. My experience ranges from waitressing and retail, to spending over ten years at Coca-Cola as an account coordinator and ultimately manager. During the many years I spent in customer service, I won numerous awards and accolades for my customer service excellence; including kudos from Directors, VP’s and even CEO’s. I’ve also trained dozens of employees and associates on the art of customer service excellence. I now consider myself an expert on what it takes to achieve the kind of outstanding customer service qualities most companies only dream of.

Since becoming a full-time writer, I’ve been trying to figure out what I wanted to do with all this excess knowledge I have regarding the customer service industry. I found out in working with my clients, I’m often able to bring additional value to them with advice on how customer service and marketing go hand-in-hand when it comes to promoting their business. In fact, it’s those two key aspects that determine whether a company will prosper or be destined to fail.
